Description
Decca records (the US one) signed Bill Haley and the Comets in 1954 and on April 24th that year they recorded a song as a favour to his manager, Dave Myers, who had co-written it and published it. That song was "Rock Around the Clock" and the rest, as they say, is history.
This Bear Family Records of Bremen, Germany, collection starts with that recording and ends 102 tracks later on 16th June, 1964. Released in 1981, catalogue numbers BFX15068/1 to 5. There are 5 LPs in the set each in an inner and outer sleeve, discs and sleeves all in excellent condition. The outer box is Good, a little worn and one corner of the lid has split.
