Waltz for Debby - Bill Evans Trio
Riverside 399 - White Label Promo
If you are looking at this, you know this is rare. I will try to give a accurate description....I have 100 percent feedback and do not wish to misrepresent this record in anyway. I normally sell records that are in Near Mint or better condition. I would grade the condition of the Vinyl as Very Good. There are numerous scuffs/marks on the vinyl. It has nice shine and luster. There are no deep scratches. I could not "catch a nail" on any of the marks. I played the entire record and I would grade the playback as Very Good Plus. There are some ticks and pops, but I was very happy with the sound (I have a high end set-up with a Benz Glider cartridge) There were no marks that consistently repeated.
The White Labels: I would grade the labels as Very Good Plus. There are spindle marks on both sides. There is almost no wear to the black printing. The white looks nice and bright and clean. The Label has "Deep Groove".
The Cover: I would grade the cover as Very Good. There is tape on the front middle. I would assume this is from a radio station catalog card. If this were not on the cover I would grade it much higher. There is very minor corner wear. Seams are 100 percent solid, no splitting. The back is nice and white, very clean. There is writing around the track listing. Normal stuff, check marks and times. I honestly believe the tape on the front could be removed. It would need to be done by a "professional", but I know there are places that do this.
I did not plan on selling this record, but I rarely ever play it. I have a 45 rpm audiophile release and usually play that. This is for the true collector. It should NOT be purchased as an Audiophile record, as it is not in perfect condition. If you have read my description, I believe you will be happy with this record. I have tried not to overstate its condition. I spent $500.00 for this record. That will be my reserve. Please ask questions if you have them. I do not want anyone to be disappointed in this album.
