I am selling off my entire Pop, Rock and Roll, Jazz and Surf record collection that I have been collecting for over 42 years. I bought the entire series in 2004 and so this is the original edition! Warm analog sound!
Bill Evans Trio: Explorations RTI Record Technology Incorporated AJAZ-9351 A/B/C/D Analogue Productions: Near Mint/Near Mint Vinyl is super clean brand new and plays Near Mint played only by me once! After almost 20 years, the inner plastic sleeve fumes/gases have somehow made their way onto the record and there is a sheen on parts of the record. Still looks brand new and I'm sure a VPI cleaning or similar would clean it right off. I will leave this to the new owner. The only other flaws would be minor superficial scuffs/hairlines from taking the record out of it's inner plastic lined sleeve. Analogue Productions pressings are known for their fantastic fidelity and the piano and bass sound AWESOME! Generic white cover is super clean and still looks brand new with super nice gloss. I bought this brand new and only played this once. Note there is no color album cover, only the generic white cover shown in the pics. The last pic showing the album is for illustration purposes only. Original plastic lined paper inner sleeves and marketing inserts are in excellent condition. I bought the entire collection when it first came out.
The second album by the original Bill Evans group was recorded after the pianist, bassist Scott LaFaro, and drummer Paul Motian had spent a year working together and honing the telepathy that established a new standard for trio interaction. Featuring intimate readings of several standards, plus three compositions from the jazz world that became synonymous with the trio’s sounds, and with ample space for LaFaro’s virtuosity to shine, the album was cited by Evans years later as among his own favorite recordings.
"Bill Evans' Explorations...the most lyrically riveting piano trio in jazz history, playing near-peak...Explorations sounds wonderful. All the tones, overtones, and rhythmic subtleties are vivid, present, and true." - Fred Kaplan, The Absolute Sound, February/March 2005
I am selling off my entire Pop, Rock and Roll, Jazz and Surf record collection that I have been collecting for over 42 years. If you're a record collector and audiophile, the cover condition is not the important part. It is the fact that the vinyl are in super clean VG+ (almost Near MINT) condition! Warm analog sound! Note that I have conservatively graded everything. In other words, if a record is graded VG+, it is more than likely closer to Near Mint.
Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards. That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion! I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!! All my LP's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew!
Shipping: Shipping in the US will be via USPS Media Mail $8 and will be mailed in a sturdy LP mailer.
