ARTIST: Bill Evans

TITLE: Interplay

LABEL: Riverside Records RS 9445 1962 US Pressing

CONDITION: VG+/VG+

SLEEVE: VG+, cover shows some aging on front and back, there is some very minor chipping on top seam and some minor corner wear. No splits or writing, spine is strong and totall legible. There is a small, stamp on back cover of the letter 'E' in a circle. Back cover has more aging than the front. Feel free to ask for more detailed pics.

RECORD: VG+, I play graded this entire LP and overall it sounds very good. There is some random light background noise, slightly more than I would like to hear, especially in the quieter sections (and in between tracks), at beginning of tracks before the band has really kicked in. No skips or pops, the music overpowers any background noise but if you need absolute quiet behind your jazz, this copy might not be for you. Labels are mostly very nice but there are some light spindle markings.

COMMENTS: This is an original Black label stereo pressing on Riverside. Bill Evans records are hot! This is a classic Evans led Riverside quintet session. Featuring nothing but all-stars Jim Hall (guitar), Freddie Hubbard (trumpet), Philly Joe Jones (drums), and Percy Heath (bass) this is a super cool record.
