Description

Bill Evans Trio     Explorations      Riverside RLP 9351 stereo  black label deep groove

Bill Evans (p), Scott LaFaro (b), Paul Motian (d) Recorded 1961

Black label deep groove  both sides. "235 West 46th Street New York 36, N.Y."  address on back cover.

Record looks VG+ and plays VG to VG+. Probably would grade higher except the music is so quiet. Record plays with surface noise below level of music. Music is strong and undistorted and is enjoyable. No heavy, repetitive scratches. Noise is of the "been played" type.  Not a clean or quiet copy, but still enjoyable .

Cover is  VG.

The front cover has moderate to heavy wear and ring wear.  There's some spots of heavy wear at top near the pocket where slick is missing.  Back cover has moderate wear with ring wear. Bottom seam split app 3 inches at the pocket. Top seam split app 5 inches at the pocket. Seams and spine have heavy wear. Spots of heavy wear and denting at the corners.

I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
