Description
Beautiful NM Stereo original copy from 1978, on the PVC label 7903. You can tell it's the original because of the black & white photos back and front of the cover, and on one side of the original inner sleeve (See Pics). The labels on both sides are also black & white (See Pics). Also, another way to tell its original is the word "Sterling" stamped in the "Dead Wax" on side one. Everything clean and like new; labels, cover, record. No tape, no splits anywhere, no writing, no ring wear, archive quality. Cover: NM near perfect Has the original Inner Sleeve, liner notes on one side, pic of Alex & Jody plus a poem by J.F.K. Knifebender on the other. (See Pics). Record: NM, I'm the original owner, I bought this at "Inner Sanctum Records" after it first came out in 1978 in Austin, Texas just off "The Drag". I took it home to Colorado and played it once and put it away and forgot about it till now. Two original Big Star members are here: Alex Chilton & Jody Stephens plus many others as seen in the photo I took. Also, helping out on guitar was the legendary Steve Cropper!! Produced by Jim Dickinson, who also played on guitar & keyboards. All around a great copy of this rare, innovative, and influential album. Recorded at Ardent Studios, Memphis, Tenn. Of the 14 songs; 11 are written by Alex alone, one with him with Chris Gage as co-writers, one by Jody "For You", and the only cover, a song by Lou Reed "Femme Fatale".
