Privately released on Royal Rose Records label in 1978, this is Bobby's Blues band and is titled "Gold Dust". First of all, this is NOT a blues LP and I've borrowed a description from a psych catalog that had offered this LP for $600... "Not blues despite the name of the band, this is one way out there rural west coasty garagetwangin' jammer of an LP with a Twilight Zone blend of moody tracks and flyin' cookers with skewered guitar licks going spastic as on the 9:35 "Climb On It!". "Walkin' Through the Storm" also has stinger twang rural guitar licks and "Gambler Man" is a creeper, way loner, loser atmosphere." The singer IS a trip - seemingly off-key at times, a real people vibe and always out to lunch! 98% still in shrink with only a smattering of brownish age spots mainly by the exposed lower edge of the opening (see photo #1), the tiniest of corner bends with some wear at the two exposed corner tips (and 1/4" split at the very top of the opening which is barely noticeable and possibly repairable) as the only visual flaws that are worth mentioning! Has a very homemade look and feel to it, and all of the writing and credits on the rear are purposely tweeked! I've never seen anything quite like it in well over 25 years of collecting! Looks and plays amazingly clean with only the faintest occasional surface noise which I believe can be attributed to the less-than-ideal pressing. THIS copy is certainly in MUCH better shape than the one I saw go for over $150 on eBay back in October 2003 which was merely VG/VG+ with a cut-out hole! I have placed a fair and reasonable reserve on this extreme rarity as you'd have one heck of a time trying to find a better copy, I can assure you!!!
