A real Classic, considered one of the best effects ever. Made in Milan, Italy, by Binson is a very high quality hand made instrument. Consisting on a spinning drum and several heads to obtain a lot of different echo and reverberation effects. From slap back, to cathedral and cascade effects obtenible only with multi heads systems.The preamp is all tube and is warm and strong, also due to the great quality NOS tubes installed: Tungsol, Phillips Miniwatt and Rca, the effect is lush and instantly project in the '60 and '70 era, is a Pink Floyd machine. Most of their tone was tanks to Echorec, they was filtering guitar, bass, keyboards and sometimes voices to obtain that magic atmosphere of the early albums with Sad Barrett, to the late seventies. Also was used form Hank Marvin, Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin and many others. This model B1S is an early and is the best echorec I ever played, I am the second owner, the unit is all original with a case in nice conditions, the knobs, the paint, the screws, the little bottle of oil, the fuse, it still has also the original key of the case. Is a great find and it plays as it looks. The sound is fat and warm with the slight typical tube distortion on the repeats. It has been professional serviced and cleaned. All the heads are working, and go fro one repeat to infinite to crazy distortion in any heads position.It's a great machine also for studio use, the direct signal can be removed via the internal trimpots, to use as luxury outboard effect. It shines in the dark like a crazy diamond. There's a lot of bad modified Binson around, this is untouched and it don't need a rewire, all the wires are solid, it is a ready to go unit.
