Description
Between Takes With Elvis was a promotional set of 3LPs sent out by Creative Radio shows to radio stations that carried their syndicated Elvis shows. Darwin Lamb and Dick Clark started Creative Radio Shows in 1972. Clark soon left, but Lamb continued to produce syndicated radio shows under the Creative Radio Shows name for the rest of the 70s and 80s. The Creative Radio Show records have become rare collectables because very few were produced and most of the ones that were produced were returned to the producer and destroyed. Luckily all of the shows were not destroyed and that’s where my shows come from. My shows are what were left of the producers stock. Some of these recordings are new and were never sent out to radio stations, and others are the ones that were returned after airing. Between the takes is a must listen for any true Elvis fan who wants to know what the King was like back stage and in his more relaxed moments in the studio. Hear Elvis in the studio recording Burning Love, For the Good Times, Always on My Mind, Separate Ways and many more from his 1972 recording sessions. You will also hear Elvis preparing back stage before some of the 1972 concerts. Get to know Elvis by listening to him joke and poke with the Memphis mafia as well as the other musicians in the studio. Only 500 copies of this set of records were made, and it is unknown how many survive today. I have only 2 still factory sealed sets and this is one of them. Presleyana VI values this set at $100, but that is for an open set this one is still factory sealed. I will start the bidding at only 49.99.
