Description

howdy folks, you are looking at a very rare and interesting demo single that United Artists made available at some point in 1968. Who knows where they were sent to? On one side is the theme from the film "The Bride Wore Black" (Julie Et L'Echarpe) composed and conducted by Bernard Herrmann. It runs in at 3:00.  On side 2 is  the theme from the film " Attack on the Iron Coast" composed and conducted by Gerard Schurmann. It runs in at 2:10. On both sides, printed just below the Side A and Side B reads "Release 9/8/68. the label # for this single is UP 2237. Printed on the label it says "Demonstration Record- Not for Sale."  At the bottom of the label on each side, it reads "Film Themes Series."  i have not found this release listed in any soundtrack databases.
The UA factory sleeve is in very good shape with a small tear and a corner fold, while the vinyl is in pretty great shape, looks like a VG+ and has a tiny bit of surface noise here and there. A truly collectible piece of musical/film history.
