The ultimate scientific demonstration record, and sample goldmine for electronic music, electroacoustic music, noise, etc.

One of the most educational records Folkways released (actually made by Bell Labs in 1958), this album serves to explain the mechanics of how the human ear hears frequency, pitch, intensity, the Doppler Effect, etc. Lots of different sound effects are used to demonstrate each particular phenomena.

CONDITION: Cover VG+ / Vinyl VG++   excellent shape, box has light general wear, all edges and corners are intact and not split, inside has a bit of foxing; vinyl is excellent, not too much wear, two sides are VG+ with just a couple very light surface scratches, two sides are VG++.

Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]
grade only used if record is brand new.

Within the US: shipping is $4.00 for Media Mail. Priority Mail is a recommended option, it's faster and more secure -- cost is reasonable and calculated based on your zip code. Shipping costs include delivery confirmation for all US orders.
    Combine shipping with other items: The cost of each extra item is calculated automatically based on weight: if you want to add a record (7", 12", LP or double-LP) or CD to your order the cost is only between 25 cents and 75 cents per extra item depending on total weight.

Outside the US: shipping is calculated automatically based on your country and the weight of the record. IMPORTANT: Priority Mail International and Express Mail International are the only services which provide tracking. All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.
