AN ELUSIVE PROGMONSTER!!!! IN MY OPINION ONE OF THE TOP 5 PROG ALBUMS EVER MADE!!VINYL IN A UNIQUE EX CONDITION!!!FIRST PRESS VERTIGO SWIRL LABELS!!!ULTRA RARE!!!IN MY OPINION HARDER TO FIND THAN THEIR FIRST 2 ALBUMS!!!

 THEIR THIRD SLAB OF ULTIMATE PROGRESSIVE GREATNESS.

In the last few years I have only come across two swirl  copies of this great Beggar's Opera album which in my opinion is the pinnacle of musicianship in the early seventies .The musicianship AND the songcraft are simply sublime!!!   Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks,  NO crackle or only sporadic low level static noise, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl has not been played much !!! A definite EX!!!  There are only a couple of tiny wispy hairlines, totally inaudible on replay. Don't be mistaken, this is a great quality vinyl, worthy of inclusion into a great prog collection!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.

I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation.

SLEEVE - THICK FOLDOUT POSTERSLEEVE - VIRTUALLY AS FIRST ISSUED   Of course there are NO skips, jumps, clicks or sticks. Unbelievably as it may sound there is not hardly any  background noise at all. Impossible to find for this 1972 vinyl!!!   Great but often obtuse supreme melodic songcraft and it was not a wonder that Beggar's Opera did not sell to the amount that e.g. Yes and Genesis did.  I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!

Vinyl: EX++ , a great upgrade. This is a seriously desirable album and very rare in this great condition!!! The replay is simply outstanding!!! The CD re-issue has nothing on this formidable recording!!! No marks and even no hairlines at all.  For all my regulars in Italy, Russia, Japan and the States, you know who you are, it does not get much better than this. The Swirls of any Beggar's Opera  album are golddust and very hard indeed to still find!!!

Foldout postersleeve: VG+ . This is a very nice sleeve which is extremely susceptible to wear being matt, just like most other Vertigo sleeves of the time. This has minor wear only. Two tiny wearholes where the folds meet and light wear on the spine with a miniscule tear, hardly noticeable at first sight. Otherwise a magnificent sleeve with rich colours.

Inner sleeve: EX. This is the original polylined SWIRL inner.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible, LEAVE ALONE IN THIS STUNNING EX CONDITION!!!

Labels are EX++ with light spindling.
