EXTREMELY SCARCE ITEM!!!
Original EMI 2 track 7 1/2 I.P.S. reel to reel tape made in 1960. THIS PERFORMANCE WAS NEVER ISSUED COMMERCIALLY ON REEL TO REEL TAPES. This material was only issued commercially on vinyl records.
Fewer than 6 copies each of any given title of these specially made reel to reel tapes were created by EMI for in-house use only: to be sent to the artist, producer, quality control personnel or company executives. These tapes were made soon after the studio master tape was recorded, not years later. Note "EMITAPE 5" is imprinted frequently & continuously on the shiny side of each tape for the entire length of the tape.

These tapes are a consignment from an audiophile friend. He assures me that the condition of the tapes is MINT-. He listened to them only once in the early 1990s, & he tells me that they are sonically superior to the commercial LP issues. He has kept them carefully stored in a cedar chest to prevent exposure to humidity.
