Yesterday 1966

1st Pressing GEP 8948

Matrix: 7TCE 894-1 and 7TCE 895-1

Stampers: 1H and 3P

Both sides of this disc are in stunning condition, displaying an undiminished, glossy lustre. Close inspection under a bright light does reveal some light handling lines but these are superficial and have no effect  on sound quality. The run ins are near silent apart from mild static and all tracks perform with crystal clarity including the easily damaged, 'Yesterday'.

Both labels are flawless and show no spindle trails or any other marks whatsoever.

It would be hard to improve on this disc, in any way.

The 1st issue picture sleeve is in excellent condition, with sharp edges and corners and some creasing to the laminated front panel, which also has a mild impression from the record. However, the unprotected back panel, with its rounded flipbacks (only present on 1st issues), is completely unmarked and has remained fairly white, just showing gentle age toning. The flipbacks are tight and the cut back opening is as good as the day it was manufactured. Again, very difficult to improve upon.

All in all, a wonderful example throughout, of this more elusive eleventh Beatles EP.

I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.

Please read the following information:

For reasons best known only to themselves and their psychiatrists, some new members will outbid all others to win an auction and then vanish without paying or replying to emails. For this reason, if you you have a feedback score of less than 10, please contact me before bidding, to confirm your ability to complete the transaction. Failure to do so will result in your bid being cancelled and the item offered to a genuine bidder.

I always listen to the whole disc and try to give an honest description of its performance. Being a buyer as well, I have experienced the irritation of receiving an item which, although not described dishonestly, has had important details 'conveniently' omitted from the write up. It is not uncommon, on used vinyl, to experience the odd dust pop, particularly in the run ins/offs, so please bear this in mind. I will tell you if there are any skips, stalls, repetitive clicks, crackle or sound deterioration. For your own peace of mind, I will give you a, no quibble, full refund (including the cost of return postage), if you find your purchase unacceptable. Thank you.
