Description

The Beatles-"Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" LP, Capitol SMAS 2653, second Stereo pressing released in 1968. This is a scarce error edition. When the Jacksonville, Florida   plant was manufacturing this LP, for some reason the second Stereo channel dropped out after the first 30 seconds or so during "Good Morning, Good Morning", resulting in a version with no horns and a lot of the other backing noises.  When the channel drops out it sounds like a skip, but it's not. You can immediately hear the difference if you're familiar with this song. This only affected the Jacksonville plant pressings. Matrix number is SMAS 2 2653 W9 # 1 (on side two). Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in NM- condition, with only a couple of very tiny marks keeping it from a NM grade. Cover is in VG+ condition, with light general age/ring wear, more noticable on the back. Includes a NM cardboard cut-out insert, but no red/pink inner sleeve. This pressing didn't include one. Very hard to find version of this iconic LP, in overall excellent shape, and a must for the serious Beatles collection. Any questions please e-mail me.
