This auction is just for the disc only.

Firstly, there is a problem with this disc, in that it has one skip and some clicks, caused by a single needle line, so I will explain in detail what I hear, to help you decide if you want to buy. I wouldn't normally sell any vinyl with skips or stalls but as this is such a rare item you may still want it for your collection.

Side 1: Superb audio quality throughout, with minimal crackle and pop, only really noticeable through the run ins. The vinyl surface has no groove wear or dulling, just a few wispy, harmless handling lines. Playback is clear and punchy.

Side2: As side one. However, at the end of 'Blackbird' there is a single skip, which, if you weren't familiar with the track, would not be that evident, as it joins together quite well. Paul sings 'You were only waiting for this moment to arise' three times. The final time, you hear 'You were only waiting for this moment' followed by the last chord. This is followed by several, diminishing clicks into 'Piggies', the first of which are fairly heavy. Nevertheless, a skip is better than a repetitive stall and the stylus travels through.

The labels, both sides, are perfect with just the usual collection of spindle trails.

Please bear in mind, that apart from the damage, this disc is in top shape, both audibly and visually and of course, has the misspelt 'Racoon' label.

Please read this carefully:

The skip is all part of one needle line and so I cannot guarantee that your stylus won't jump on any of the clicks that follow. All I can say is that I have played this section several times over, with the same result on my system. I have also applied moderate pressure to the cartridge, as this will sometimes correct the groove but without success. So I think the skip is a permanent feature.

All in all, a rare and playable addition to any Beatles collection.

I have other Beatles items listed, please take a look.
