Beatles-Related LP Paul McCartney Ram TOUGHEST OF 1975 “ALL RIGHTS” VARIATIONS!
I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
I’ve so far found only two variations of the “All Rights Reserved” label variation for the Ram LP. By far, I come across the Los Angeles variation more often, and that’s only been about 5 or 6 copies. The Jacksonville variation has the disclaimer on five lines on both sides of the album, whereas the LA copy has it on 2 lines on Side 1.
This is the ONLY Jacksonville copy I’ve ever seen in 47 years of collecting.
Vinyl--- Strong VG. Some would call it VG+. Has a great deal of new shine, but it’s tempered with a few very light scuffs that you cannot feel with your fingertip.
Plates--- Z9/ F27. Has a machine-stamped letter “O” in the dead wax on both sides, making this a Jacksonville copy.
Cover--- VG+. Structurally solid, NO SPLITS. Has light to moderate shelfwear on the top and bottom edges, gatefold has moderate ringwear from the record. Price tag still affixed to the front cover.
Labels--- Beautiful, nearly new-looking labels with some very light spindle marks per side. These are Winchester labels, rather than Jacksonville’s darker glossy labels from that period of time. Nice little hybrid copy!
Capitol Inner Sleeve--- I received this copy with no inner sleeve, and so I gave it a generic white sleeve with a plastic lining.
Too rare. See if you can find one before the end of the auction. I’ve been seeking eBay for another copy in NM condition for 20 years now, and I have NEVER seen one.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
