‘Dick James’ Credits……..Excellent Copy
ONE FOR THE COLLECTOR
Early 1963 1st pressing on uk Black and Gold Parlophone label PMC 1202
Both labels show the incorrect Dick James credits, which are corrected on later pressings.
Matrix Numbers XEX 421-1N AND XEX 422-1N
Run out Stamps T on side 1 and GR on side 2
E.J.Day cover in excellent condition,. No tears, handwriting, stickers, rips, or stains other then minor storage marks and minor edge marks on rear flaps. No cellotape on flaps. Opening edges still sharp and clean.. Angus McBean credit on right hand lower corner.
Spine in very good condition with clear text.
Use Emitex poly lined inner sleeve with slight discolouring and record ring crease. Some creasing in poly centres.
Slight tear in inner circle on one side (see photo) No edges torn or split.
Both record labels in very good to ex condition. No tears stickers or handwriting. Centre holes show slight wear as per photos and not retouched. Print is clear and legible in gold on deep black on both labels.
Altogether a very good example of this collectors item.
The record is in excellent condition with only the odd light mark across the playing surface. Deep black vinyl with some scratch marks on the run out’s particularly on side 1. Lay’s flat. Please note : Photos do not show the few light surface marks.
I have owned this record ( assince the early 80's and have never played it, but it was graded by a dealer many years ago as ex to near mint., and looking at the disc’s visual condition I would say very good to ex.
