Description
A flexible cardboard Capitol Promo 33 1/3 EP that was apparently used as an advertisement for the Capitol Record Club. An announcer starts with an intro to "Roll Over Beethoven" and the Beatles maybe get one half to two thirds of the way thru the song before they are interrupted and the announcer plugs Capitol records and specifically the record club. He does mention that the cut by the Beatles comes from the 2nd Capitol album. The disc then goes on to feature the Beach Boys and then the Kingston Trio. The disc is one sided and the flip, as shown, just has a slick, no grooves, representation of an inner sleeve of a 12 inch LP.
There are no marks on either side of the disc and shows very little use. It has a bow to it, and I'm sure with weight on the cardboard for a length of time, it would flatten out. It does play fine on my turntable even with the bowing, and I'm not going to try and flatten it any more......I'll leave that to the collector. There are very few documented sales of this item, and I can't find any recently on E-Bay. I've not put any reserve on the item, so it'll go to whoever throws out the best bid. This was recently found on a vacation trip in a stack of older Capitol LPs.
First class, well packed postage is 3.50. I'll insure the item and it will be well packed(pressed between stiff cardboard, etc.).
