MINT = MINT UNPLAYED/OR SEALED.
EXCELLENT.THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED but still all round is nice shape,the sleeve or inserts may show sign of slight wear and creasing.
VG = VERY GOOD.the record has obviously been played many times and may show signs of surface marks and occasional light scratches,thus the average 60's album,normal wear and tear on the cover,without any major defects.
GOOD. Sound quality has deteriorated,perhaps with some distortion and the sleeve may suffer scuffs or edges spine splits,discolouring.
FAIR.. the record is playable just about, but has not been cared for properly. The cover may be stained / torn etc. ideal for a cheap collection filler
POOR...exactly what is says,,ideal for you £50 rated album at say £5 collection filler,or for super rare items where condition is not so much the importance factor.

CD'S. they either play or do not play, cd's although mint may show signs of marks on disc,so long as the cover is mint and prestine the item can be graded as mint.

As cd cases can easily be replaced grading in general is mint or not fit for sale.
