YESTERDAY AND TODAY, the Beatles (stereo) ST2553, RIAA#2 

2nd state rare stereo butcher cover.

Includes cover, original inside sleeve, and record. 

Album cover is completely unpeeled--not even a corner has been peeled. 

Trunk overlay is in great condition.  It's a little bit askew, and you can see just a hint of the original cover peeking out the top right corner where the cover was glued a little askew.  You can clearly see Ringo's black v-neck showing through the white space to the right of the trunk.   The left top and bottom corners of the overlay are a little bent.  A few minor scuffs. A little blue pen mark above John's right shoulder. The only real damage to the overlay is the bottom right corner where it is a little brown--like a grease stain or a small spill.

Corners, edges and spine of the album cover are a little cracked and frayed, consistent with age.  The back of the album cover has a few brown age stains on it, along with a few dings.  All imperfections are clearly shown in the photos.   

Comes with original blue inside Capitol sleeve, which is in-tact, with wear consistent with age--sides of the inside sleeve are split and bent.  The photo of the blue inside sleeve shows the worst of the 4 corners.  

The record itself is in excellent condition. A few small visible light scratches from previous use.   Nothing major.

This is part of a large collection of Beatles records I am selling 1 piece at a time.  These were all purchased new by my husband many years ago, listened to when he was younger (except the picture discs--these were never played), and then carefully stored in plastic totes for the past 15 years or more.  I know absolutely nothing about records or record-collecting, so I'll do my best to describe the record, and its condition.  I don't even own a record player, so I can't listen to them to check for skips.  Therefore, if you receive something, and you are not happy with the condition related to how it was described, return it within 1 week, and I'll gladly refund your money, minus shipping cost.

Hi Beatles Fans:  I've had numerous requests for additional pictures of the album cover.  Tonight, I will borrow a digital camera and take a few photos of both sides of the album in its entirety.  I currently only have a flatbed scanner, which is why there are no shots of the entire album--only sections.   So, send me your email address, and I'll forward full-size pictures to you.  Also, if you are bidding on this item, you are in luck.  Because I am new to this, I did not know that a STEREO butcher was more valuable than a MONO butcher.  So when I did my 5 minutes of research to write the description and set the reserve price, I foolishly set it at $300, when I probably should have set it higher.  That low reserve, of course, has already been met, so I'm kicking myself!  Thirdly, my photos show a blue Capital records sleeve.  I now think this might be the sleeve from a different record.  I DO HAVE the orange '66 Capital Records sleeve, and it is actually in better condition than the blue one.  I'll let the winner decide whether they want the orange or the blue.  My understanding is that Capital switched from the blue sleeve to the orange sleeve around the time this record was put out, but every other butcher I see online shows the orange sleeve.  This leads me to believe that they got mixed up.  I'm selling about 100 Beatles records from my husband's old collection that we unearthed while cleaning out our basement, and I think I mixed it up with another record.  Can any of you experts out there can confirm this for me??  Thanks and good luck!            

Hi again!  I have a bunch of great pictures I can email to anyone who sends me their email address.  Shows full views of both sides, as well as pictures of spine and 2 edges.  I also have one picture where I reduced the brightness, and you can literally see Ringo's entire body from head to lap through the pastover.  Its pretty cool!  Incidentally, when my husband saw all of the interest in this record--which he did not even know he had in his collection--he started having seller's remorse.  However, he got over it when I promised him he could put the proceeds towards buying a snowblower.   Why that excites him I will never understand!
