Description
The Beatles - Yesterday and Today - 1993 Japanese - First State Butcher Cover!
Story behind the record: This record was passed on to me from my mother. She passed away 10 years ago and I inherited everything! She was born in 1940 and was a HUGE beatles fan!
I am choosing to list the record, inner sleeve and the cover as in NM - Near Mint condition. The cover is in beautiful condition. It has been stored in a sleeve, with the record stored seperately, so there was no damage to the spine. Remember, this 1993 version came so close to the original, that it has fooled many a Beatles proffesional record collectors!!
There are no rips, tears, scratches to the cover or inner sleeve. I will mention any and all problems the above mentioned pieces may have. Inner sleeve is PERFECT! The top and bottom right corners of cover look like they may have been slightly "bumped" next to a surface, and they are wrinkled / rolled in maybe 1-2 mm. Look at the picture, it is not noticeable, I just felt it necessary to mention because of what has previously happened (read story to follow...)
Pictures speak a thousand words...which is why I am providing as many as I did!
I am relisting this record. The first buyer insisted there were scratches covering the album. He then left me a negative feedback and sent the record back to me. I believe he had buyers remorse and unfortunately, I received the bad end of the bargain with no recourse action whatsoever through Paypal or eBay, to this particularily grumpy Canadian!
I have added several more close up pictures of the record itself, there are 2 VERY small hairline "scratches", if they can be called that. I tried to pick them up in the new photos, however, they are so small and barely noticeable that it was difficult to pick up! You can make them out ever so slightly, if the light is just right. The center label, just around the hole in the very center, the label is peeled back in a circular motion about 2 mm out. You can see this in the picture provided.
The mistake I made on the original listing, is listing the record as mint, I should have listed it as near mint. Even the Goldmine Grading System suggests never grading any record as mint, unless it is still in the original packaging! And even that is questionable since they do not always come off the line in mint condition!!
Please ask any and all question, I am online throughout the day and will be listing this record for 10 days! It will end just in time for Christmas and I will be happy to ship as soon as payment is received. I have chosen Priority mail and just basic parcel post for those of you not in a hurry to receive it by Christmas!
I will not ship internationally! If you win and live anywhere outside of the 50 states, I will ship to the next highest bidder! Sorry to those of you who are foreign and would love to have this record, however, dealing with the individual from Canada who originally purchased this item has really put a bad taste in my mouth...
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING
All items are described to the best of my knowledge. If I have made a mistake, contact me, we can work it out! Please ask any questions before bidding. I usually answer all questions within 12 hours! I have 100% feedback for a reason and would like to keep it that way. I leave feedback for all transactions and would like the same in return. I describe my auctions as accurately as possible, so that everyone is satisfied!
Payments
Paypal is preferred method of payment. USA funds only. If payment is not made – I will file non-paying bidder!
Shipments
Most of my auctions state Parcel Post, however, I may end up sending your product, First Class or Priority, depending on price, length of arrival time and location. (Both of these services provide faster shipping time than Parcel Post) I send invoices at the end of all auctions and include an invoice with shipment. I ship within 2 business days of end of auction, however, it can be much sooner than that!
Thanks and Happy Bidding!
On Dec-09-09 at 14:30:32 PST, seller added the following information:REMEMBER: This is one of 300 albums released from Japan in 1993. There was also a second batch of 1500 released from Japan in 1997. However, the quality of the 1997 release was nothing compared to the 1993 release! This version is so close to the original release from the 60's, that they ususally have to be appraised by a proffessional, and even they can be fooled by it!
THANKS!
