For sale is a Beatles butcher cover paste-over. This is a first pressing, mono copy and has an unusual misaligned trunk slick which clearly shows the ‘offensive butcher cover' beneath. [see pic #3] This may enhance value as there’s no question of whether or not this is a true ‘second state’. No need to strain to see the black triangle of Ringo’s turtleneck sweater & no need to peel this - unless you wish to. Jacket has some neatly repaired seams and general overall wear as a 50+ year old release would. Small defect in lower left corner. #6 to left of RIAA symbol on back.
This auction includes the original inner sleeve and VG vinyl showing moderate amount of scuffs / light scratches. Of course the real prize here is the cover! We’re also including a beautiful 4/C reproduction of a mono butcher slick and letter of recall from Capitol Records. Would look great framed together.
