THE BEATLES

'WITH THE BEATLES'

1963 UK 2nd PRESS *MONO* LP

**DECCA PRESSING**

Due to the high demand for the album, EMI contracted rivals Decca to press extra copies of 'With The Beatles' in early 1964.
These pressings are identifiable by the deep circular groove on the label and were pressed on slightly thinner vinyl but have the top quality Decca sound.

This rare 1963 second mono DECCA pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label PMC 1206
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but still carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Label publishing credit for 'Money' is 'Dominion & Belinda'
Housed in a front laminated, '..Gotta.. flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover
Complete with original inner 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 447-7N & XEX 448-7N
Decca stamper numbers: 3,9 & 8

Visual & Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS

Very glossy and bright surfaces with just a few light scuffs and minor light scratches but no major faults.
The sound is bright, clean and clear with no hint of groovewear/loud passage distortion on any track.
There are a few soft 'ticks' between some tracks but no loud clicks, pops jumps or repeats.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.

Cover: VERY GOOD

This example displays moderate handling and storage wear but no major faults.
The front panel is unyellowed but displays general corner and opening edgewear with some small laminate creases.
The rear panel has some areas of discolouration but is without any marks or writing.
There is some slight spine wear but all seams are strong and all flipbacks are intact.
