1968 UK 1st PRESSING *STEREO* LP
***'ROCKY RACOON' MISSPELT LABEL***
This fine & rare 1968 UK STEREO variant is on the dark green Apple labels: PCS 7067/8The side 2 label carries the 'Rocky Racoon' mispelling (should be 'Rocky Raccoon')
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' and 'An EMI Recording' texts.
There is no tax/price code visible on any label.
Housed in a fully laminated, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' stereo cover, numbered: No. 0348045.
Complete with original matt-black inners, matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster & four card colour photos.
Matrix numbers: YEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 3/TT, 2/GAM, 5/TTD & 6/RL

Visual: EXCELLENT
Bright & glossy surfaces bearing a single long fingernail scuff on side 1 and a smaller one on side 2 but no other significant faults.
Close up inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals no other marks apart from some light paper hairlines.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable without any dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Only ever carefully played, all tracks are clean and fresh with no crackle or groovewear distortion on any track or either channel.
Detailed listening at volume reveals no clicks, hiss, jumps, repeats or any other significant audible wear.
Even the easily damaged introduction on 'Martha My Dear' & peaks on 'Blackbird' are clear and unworn.

Very strong & clean 'thick' card example retaining a fine 'whiteness' with no yellowing to either panel, or any other significant wear.
The front panel laminate is pristine with no splits, pitting, scratches, thumbnail' creases or spine bends.
There is some minor bruising to the front right corners but no heavy bumps or major wear.
The top opening edges are clean & sharp with just a hint of wear but no tears or feathering.
The inside of the gatefold is undamaged & there is no writing anywhere.
All seams are intact & undamaged & the spine laminate is all present with all text clear & readable.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
