1968 UK 1st PRESSING *MONO* LP

**FACTORY SAMPLE**

This rare *MONO FACTORY SAMPLE* 1st pressing is 100% complete with all inserts, including the white photo spacer.

Disc 2 was among one of the first 300 copies ever pressed as both sides have 1/G mother/stamper codes.

Carefully graded at volume in its entirety for a 100% accurate description of audio quality.

This early UK 1st MONO pressing is on the dark green Apple labels: PMC 7067/8
Labels 1 & 3 display genuine 'pointed-ended' Factory Sample stickers.
All labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' and 'Apple Records..' rim texts.
The 'An EMI Recording' statement is omitted from both labels on disc 1.
There is no tax/price code is visible on any label.

Housed in a fully laminated, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover, numbered: No. 0072836.
Complete with original matt-black inners, matt 'Garrod & Lofthouse' poster, four card colour photos & white paper photo spacer.

Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-2
Stamper numbers: 3/TA, 3/TH, 1/G & 1/G

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS

Bright, clean & glossy surfaces which in strong daylight bear a few small & light fingernail scuffs but no large or heavy marks to any side.
The only significant blemish anywhere is a single 7cm non-feelable stylus hairline scratch on side 2.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just some inner-sleeve removal marks & hairlines but no major faults.
All sides lie 100% flat on the turntable without any dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

Although frequently played all the tracks play without any significant faults or major lessening to the sound quality.
Some light intermittant background audible at volume during the quieter passages, but there are no clicks, pops, hiss or any other major faults.

Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS

Very strong & clean 'thick' card, unyellowed example which retains an excellent 'whiteness'.
The front panel laminate has some light storagewear together with a few small indentations & a single crease but no major faults.
There is slight bumping to the lower corners & a touch of wear to the top opening edges but no tears.
The inside of the gatefold is in superb shape with no marks or damage.
The spine has some wear and some text is incomplete but all seams are unstressed & unsplit.

Photos: NEAR MINT: As new.

Spacer: EXCELLENT: A few light handling creases.

Poster: EXCELLENT: Pristine white with no tears, splits or pin-holes.

Black inners: EXCELLENT: No tears or splits.
