Disc 1 omits the 'An EMI Recording' whilst it is present on both labels of disc 2.

The disc is housed in a fully laminated, top-opening 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover numbered No. 0156996.

Complete with its its original UK printed poster, two matt-black die-cut inner sleeve & 4 thick card portrait photos.

Disc 1

Labels: EXCELLENT

Clean & bright with some light spindle trails to each centre hole but no writing or missing paper.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean and bright surfaces which retain all of their deep gloss shines with no clouding, dull areas or groove-whitening anywhere. Both sides are unmarked in daylight with no scuffs or scratches to either side. Close & careful inspection directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals just a few wispy paper hairlines but no other marks or wear whatsoever. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.

Play: EXCELLENT

This first disc has received just some careful play on good quality equipment as there is no evidence of a groovewear distortion to any track or channel throughout. My careful play-check at volume revealed just a hint of background on a few of the quieter moments but it is certainly not the nasty crackle which blights so many of these pressings and in my opinion does not spoil the listening enjoyment. There are no clicks, jumps or any other major audible faults anywhere.

Disc 2

Labels: EXCELLENT

As with disc 1, both are clean & bright with just some light spindle trails to each centre hole but no other wear.

Visual: EXCELLENT -

Again, very clean, deep gloss surfaces which display just a few light surface marks on side 3 together with a few light stylus hairlines on side 4, but certainly nothing deep or feelable. Close inspection beneath halogen light shows up nothing more than a few insignificant wispy paper hairlines but no other significant marks or wear. Both sides of this disc also lie 100% flat on the turntable.

Play: VERY GOOD +

As with disc 1, this has received just some careful play there is no significant deterioration to the sound quality of any groovewear distortion audible. In fact, apart from some light background and a few light ticks during some quieter passages, there is little to fault overall. There are no heavy clicks, pops, jumps or any other major faults anywhere.

Cover

EXCELLENT -

An impressive clean & strong example from thick, heavy card stock. Some minor age-toning is present but the high-gloss laminate remains undamaged and unworn throughout with no significant signs of wear inside or out. All corners and top-opening eges are all clean and sharp with no bumps tears or feathering anywhere. The inside of the gatefold is pristine and completely unmarked. The spine laminate has split and is discoloured but the text is still visible and readable. Bot hthe side and the lower seams are all smooth, unstressed & unsplit.

Poster

VERY GOOD +

Complete & unhung, there is is some light handling wear and a slight misfold along one fold but no tears anywhere.

Inner-sleeves

VERY GOOD & GOOD

Both have general storage & handling wear. One has some damage to the top edge a small seam splits but the other is fully intact & undamaged.

Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
