READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles White Album 1968 First Press 7 ERRORS Partial Shrink, HYPE STICKER, NM!

NOTE: I’ve had problems with younger collectors mistaking the term, “Still in Shrink” for “Still Sealed.”  This album is open, but still has most of the shrinkwrap on it.

Vinyl--- NM/ NM.  EX/ NM.  Side 3 has some manufacturer’s marks, very light.  2 or 3 very short, light scratches, can’t be felt with the fingertip. Side 4 has two extremely light scratches that can't be photographed very well. 3 sides look very nearly unplayed.

Plates--- J46/J45. J47/J44.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- EX. Mostly still in shrink!  There is some very light browning overall.  Staple holes in the upper left corner, where the original price tag had been affixed.

As with most White album covers you’ll find, the result is moderate to heavy ringwear and dirtwear.  NOT THIS ONE.  There are usually to some degree, split pocket seams.  NOT THIS ONE.

Gatefold--- This gatefold has never been opened since its release into the shops in 1968!

Hype Sticker--- Uniform foxing has occurred.  Some idiot in eternity past had tried to peel the sticker off, resulting in the top left corner having damage.  See photo.

Breathe Holes--- There are two breathe holes on the back cover about one third of the way down, across from one another.

Labels--- EX/EX. EX/EX.  Apart from a few tiny and light spindle marks each, these labels look full-color and brand new!

Four Photos--- NM/NM/NM/EX.  Paul’s photo has one lone finger divot on his right cheek.  Otherwise, all four photos are in brand-new 1968 NM condition!

Spacer--- The very first spacers were white, with gloss on one side.  Very shortly after, most likely to save on costs, the spacers were pastel-colored with flat texture.  And shortly after those, they disappeared completely.

This is one of those scarcest white spacers with gloss on one side.  Unfortunately, it didn’t bode very well over time.  There is heavy foxing and a light crease through it.

All four photos and the spacer had escaped the staple holes!

Poster--- EX.  The poster looks nearly new.  Just the occasional light finger divot.  VERY strong seams, NO SPLITS.  Not even almost.  Of all places for the staple to have caught this poster, it was in the very center intersection where once unfolded, you get the maximum amount of staple holes.  However; that fact also provides your provenance that this is the original poster that was in the album cover upon purchase.

Capitol Inner Sleeve--- Generic white sleeves with the die-cut hole for the labels to show through.  One appears to be a replacement, since it doesn’t have staple holes that correspond to the cover.  (Either that, or the staples did not penetrate the second sleeve.)  The other sleeve is written on in pencil, including the record’s catalogue number.

RIAA: N/A.

This album is from my A-List, meaning I hate to part with it!  Will never see another one this nice again.  But that’s your gain for YOUR A-List.  You will never need an upgrade from here!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)

Check out my other auctions for more hard-to-find vinyl!

eBay has REALLY been acting up tonight. Won't let me post Side 3 label. Ask Seller a Question if you want me to email you the photo. It's as beautiful as the others!
