READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

Beatles VI LP First Pressing 1965 STEREO A-Plates, EX/VG++!

Very early in the first run, A-plates deliver some of the best sound quality and detail, before the metal plates had been stamped and re-stamped over and over, in order to meet the demand.  This copy isn’t NM, but it’s sure a beautiful copy.

Vinyl--- EX/VG++.  Side 1 looks very close to new, with the exceptions of just a few short, faint hairlines.  Side 2 has a few more, but still grades stronger than a VG+.  Couldn’t in good conscience stretch it to EX either.

Plates--- A5/A1.  There’s no doubt that this copy was among the first in the record shops upon its release.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG+.  Structurally solid cover.  Light dirtwear on the front and back covers, moderate yellowing around the seams.  But NO SEAM SPLITS.  Back cover reads, “See Label for Correct Playing Order.”  Both the top seam and the spine bear the album’s catalogue number.  (See photos.)

This is a first pressing cover.

Labels--- EX/EX.  Both labels present as NM until you very closely examine them tilted toward a bright light source.  There are barely perceptible spindle marks, and only a few at that. I could have graded them NM easily, but those little lines weren’t there when the record left the factory.

“Words of Love” is credited to ASCAP.  These copies are the first pressings.  Later pressings changed the designation to BMI.

Inner Sleeve--- VG.  Original olive green Capitol inner sleeve is present.

Sleeve presents as EX.  But all three seams have small splits, less than one inch.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: 6. Traditionally associated with Los Angeles pressings, I try to play the records and covers where they land.  I bought this copy like this, and since I’ve no way of knowing whether the cover was swapped, or whether the early pressings had a mismatch between cover and album to rush-release, I prefer to sell as I find, unless I buy a nice disc in a trashed cover.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
