1969 UK **ONE EMI BOX** PRESSING LP
RARE **MONO** PRESSING
This was the final UK mono pressing of 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band of the 1960's.
Issued in very limited quantites with this label design in late 1969, it sold poorly in mono making it one of the hardest to find but best sounding of all UK LPs.
This rare and excellent 1969 MONO pressing is on the UK black & silver 'One EMI Box' label: PMC 7027
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a fully laminated mono 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with original 1970 EMI advertising inner sleeve and cut-out sheet (both NM).

Labels: EXCELLENT
A few spindle trails but no missing paper or added ink.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Very little to fault visually with the surfaces as they remain bright and glossy and bear just a few light non-audible lines under intense direct light.
The only blemish to speak of is a small (1cm) mark at the end of side one which in non-feelable and non-audible.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Superb loud and clear audio quality from this late 60's pressing with no trace of groovewear distortion on any track or in either channel.
There is just one audible light 'tick' for a few revs on the side 1 run-in, but after that the sound is flawless and without fault.
All tracks play superbly without any groovewear distortion, crackle, hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Strong, clean and bright with extremely light handling and storage wear.
The front laminate is bright and unscratched bearing just three small 'thumbnails'and a few light creases to the spine, but the opening edge is sharp and unworn.
The rear panel shows some light storagewear to the laminate and on the right upper and lower corners but no major wear.
The inside of the gatefold is perfect with no creases, marks, missing paper or other faults.
The spine is in great shape with no missing laminate and is clearly worded. All seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
