When the single age passed and The Beatles albums were standardized on CD, the Past Masters compilation was created to collect the A & B sides of each of the singles that didn't appear on the albums themselves along with tracks that didn't fit anywhere else. In 2012, Apple & EMI released remastered editions of the stereo versions of each studio album in the Fab Four’s catalogue. This double LP is pressed on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl. While primarily a stereo release, a few tracks are included with monophonic sound.
