This very very rare unique sleeve! The “Fourth Proof” sleeve represents the earliest possible pressing of the Sgt Pepper cover. The Fourth Proof was the final version of the various ‘prototypes’ that were explored by the Beatles when the cover was being designed. The cover (and text) was approved by the Beatles and an initial very small ‘test’ run was undertaken to make sure everything looked OK. This small test run is characterized by the inverted “Fourth Proof” text in the top right hand corner of the inner gate-fold – just above George Harrison’s head. This is therefore the earliest possible ‘prototype’ (test pressing) cover. Same fold-back have can printed text “AR D1321? which was probably the reference number for the prototype text that was used.

Ok well the condition i will explain the condition the best i can, before i start let me say im NOT A VINYL EXPERT i will be looking at all imperfection and letting everyone know first of all the cover is in GOOD for its age there has been a repair job to the spine with sellotape :O( also a small 3cm rip just at the opening . The LP I would grade as GOOD.
