Description
The Beatles - Rubber Soul
This exceptional copy of the Beatles' sixth studio album is an extremely rare UK first pressing crossover on the sought after yellow and black Parlophone label.
The crossover pressings occurred as a consequence of John Lennon's unhappiness with the sound of the first pressing. He thought it was too loud (giving the pressing its name). Some records had already had one side stamped with the loud cut pressing plates, however, and rather than throwing them away EMI simply pressed the second side with the new pressing plates.
The vinyl is housed within the original front-side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve.
The album is complete with the original rice-paper lined EMItex die-cut inner sleeve.

Vinyl: MINT -
Labels: EXCELLENT +
The labels are bright and clean. Only a couple of very light spindle marks are visible on either side.
Visual: MINT -
Immaculate 'factory-fresh' deep-gloss playing surfaces which are blemish free in strong daylight. Unbelievably, a strong halogen bulb shows nothing but an iridescent rainbow sheen. Difficult to improve upon.
Sound Quality: MINT -
The audio is fantastic. This copy has clearly been played cautiously on good quality equipment. There is no sign of groove/play wear. There are quiet lead-ins to both sides and minimal static in between tracks. There are clear vocals and punchy bass. You will struggle to find a better listening experience.
Sleeve: MINT -
The shop-new sleeve looks superb. The front retains a glossy finish with bright colours. The rear is exceptionally clean. All four corners are crisp and sharp. The opening edges, top and bottom edges, and square spine are all without any wear.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve is in great condition. It is perfectly clean with no tears, writing or seam splits. The vinyl is housed inside an audiophile quality, anti-static inner sleeve to help protect and preserve the record and inner sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
