Description

Parlophone PCS 3075

Here is a first pressing Stereo copy from 1965.

I am not going to grade this record. I will be as descriptive as possible and let potential buyer's make up their own mind.

Outer Sleeve. Side 1 has a laminated finish. There are a number of cracks to the laminate, most of them on the left hand edge, but also a rather large one on bottom right hand edge, also 3 or 4 around Ringo's head. However, these are only cracks and not splits, so still a very decent looking side 1 outer sleeve.

Outer Sleeve. Side 2 has the text  'Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.' and this sleeve is fine. If i want to be ultra-critical it has become a little dirty around the laminated flipback area but on a 45 year old record, surely this would be expected.

The inner sleeve is fine both sides. Small split to top left corner which can easily be glued back together by someone with a little more patience than me. To be expected creases on all 4 corners of inner sleeve. (I have never seen an album's inner sleeve without these 4 creases, even a brand new Album).

Labels. Both labels are fantastic. They have the text 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd.' and 'Sold in the U.K.'. Both labels are still bright, and to be honest, look as though they could have been printed just last week. Side 1 label has just a couple of light fingermarks, side 2 label the same, but also with a couple of very light spindle marks.

The all important Vinyl. I am tempted to use the word 'Mint', but it is a term i have never used so i won't start now. Let's put it this way. With my eyes not being what they once were i had to use a magnifying glass to get the matrix numbers, and what i did notice was that even with a magnifying glass i could only see the lightest of hairlines on the dead wax. As far as the rest of the vinyl is concerned, nothing. No scratches, no marks, no scuffs. I would be very surprised if this record has had more than 2 plays.

Overall this really is a lovely item. Yes, it appears for sale now and then, but in  this beautiful condition. I doubt it!  The selling point to this record really is the vinyl itself. it is absolutely stunning.

Any potential bidders from outside of the U.K. please get in touch before making a bid as postal costs will be higher for you. Also Paypal only please from non U.K. bidders.

Thanks for looking. I will be putting other Beatles Albums up for sale in the coming weeks, so it's worth keeping an eye on what i'm selling.
