THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This early UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial August 1966 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7009
The side 1 label bears a genuine EMI *FACTORY SAMPLE - NOT FOR SALE* sticker
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' rim texts
The side 2 label has the earliest 'Dr. Robert' spelling and a 'KT' purchase tax code
Earliest possible matrix numbers: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper codes: 1/GR & 2/GG
Vinyl weight: 167g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover, with original 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve

Labels: EXCELLENT +
Both are clean & undamaged with no noticeable spindle marks around either centre hole
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean, unworn playing surfaces with one or two light surface marks on each side & a faint radial turntable scuff, but nothing I would call a scratch. Close examination beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a few wispy paper hairlines and a healthy rainbow shine.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT -
The early copy has received moderate careful amount of play and is without any significant deterioration to the sound quality overall. My play-check did pick up some of the usual light background wear on 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Here, There & Everywhere', but apart from that there is little else to fault. There are no clicks, pops, jumps or any other major faults anywhere on this early copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Firm and clean with an unscratched high-gloss front laminate bearing a few small 'thumbnail' and spine wrinkles, but no heavy creasing or wear. The corners are free from any heavy bumps or bruising and both opening edges are clean & unworn. The rear panel is clean & black where it should be with no ringwear, writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are clean & fully intact and the seams are smooth & unstressed.
There is some toning to the spine but all of the text is unworn and readable.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT -
Clean & flat with some moderate age-toning but no writing, tears or seam splits.
- Our grading is strict & conservative grading in strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- Each record is professionally & securely packaged in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
