1966 UK **WITHDRAWN 1st MONO PRESSING** LP

*INCLUDES RARE REMIX VERSION OF 'TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS'**


This rare first UK mono pressing includes the withdrawn 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' available only on this pressing.

Here is that rare 1966 first mono pressing on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
The KT tax/price code is visible on the side two label.
The side two label carries the 'Dr Robert' spelling.

Housed in a front laminated 'flipback' mono 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover.
Complete with original 'Patents Applied For' inner sleeve.

Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-1
Stamper numbers: 5/ML & 4/MG

Visual: EXCELLENT

Clean and bright surfaces which maintain their deep gloss shine undulled by overplay or careless handling.
The only visible mark is one light 'fingernail' scuff on side 1. Otherwise there are just some light, wispy sleeve removal hairlines under intense direct light.
This copy have been carefully handled and looked after and bears no deep or heavy scratches or marks anywhere.
Good heavy, thick vinyl with sharp edges and 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

There is some intermittant groovewear audible throughout side one, however side two sounds better and plays EXCELLENT.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and the entire disc plays without any hiss, clicks, pops, jumps or repeats
The rare version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows' plays superbly.


Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS

Clean, strong and unyellowed, this is a resepectable example bearing just a few light creases to the front panel but no major wear.
All corners are in good shape and the opening edge is clean and sharp with no tears or feathering.
There is a small section along Ringo's chin where the laminate has been scuffed but is not split or torn.
The rear panel is clean and black with a hint of storagewear but no marks, writing or missing paper.
The spine is clean, square and readable with no missing laminate and all flipbacks and seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
