REVOLVER
MONO recording ORIGINAL mispress !!
Impossible to locate!
Extremely scarce , highly sought after and very collectable Beatles release . Recalled as wrong mix of Tomorrow Never Knows -ONLY found on a limited number which were pressed with Remix 11 found on XEX 606-1 Side 2 matrix! Corrected very quickly just HOURS after release and corrected pressings changed to matrix 606-2 !!!Story goes that on the date of release, each Beatle was given a copy of the first pressed LP, and after only a few hours of its release and listening to the final track Tomorrow Never Comes, Lennon wanted it recalled and shortened to the 9 minute mix as he did not like the 11 mix version . All these Remix 11 s were quickly recalled and deleted so ONLY a handful survived, this being one of the original Remix 11 s.

XEX 605-2 Side 1
Stampers : 2 RR / 1 AP Very early stampers
G&L Patents Pending flip back sleeve. Slight laminate split on top edge. Minimal feathering on opening edge . Spinal column clearly shows title. No edge wear visible. NO rips nor tears! Ex- condition .
Yellow/Black Parlophone label format with sold in UK text. Very good ++ owing to some fading around perimeters . KT embossed. Lovely examples as no other damage to report .
Vinyl
Super rare heavy weight cut and a thick quality pressing . Has a heavy feel and gives a buzz when held. Has a beautiful sheen. Some light surface scratches visible and four scuffs on last track on one side. VG+ visual. Super example!
Audio
Plays really well . Audio on side 2, EXCELLENT ! Plays perfectly with hardly any surface disturbance detected . No static heard even between the tracks!!! Amazing high quality vinyl and the famous remix 11 is heard in sensational style! NO skips , nor jumps .
Side 1 Dips to VG+/EX- owing to the occasional light scratch resulting in one or two audible faint ticks .Does little to affect the music presentation. British craftsmanship and engineering heard at its very best, as these vintage first pressings were built to last the test of time ! So side 1 at least a very good, and considerably better in some parts!!!
Please note that the Remix of Tomorrow never Knows is sensational and is very mesmeric ..Beautiful tones ! Must be heard ! Why Lennon did not like this version, I do not know as I prefer the longer version.
Impossible to locate and should be able to collect at a reasonable price. Highly valued at £300 RRPG, 2008
