The Beatles - Revolver stereo vinyl LP 1966 edition

PCS7009 on Parlophone Yellow and Black label

I am selling my entire collection of vinyl LPs mostly bought (by me) in the 60s and many on or very shortly after the day of issue - I have included purchase information on a "best recollection" basis!  This is a private collection - I am not a dealer.  I have attempted to describe accurately the record and its condition but as I'm not that well informed about the nuances of stampers, matrices and tax codes, please feel free to ask questions.

These records were only ever played on a good quality deck using lightly weighted Shure diamond stylus cartridges thus although many were well-played, play wear has been minimised.

Because I am aware that "condition is everything" I have tried to err on the side of caution in fully describing marks, scratches, etc.  I have a 100% feedback record which I want to retain so I'm happy to offer a full money-back guarantee on all records sold at more than £10 if I have not accurately described the condition, although you would need to pay the return postage.  I have bought special mailing envelopes (with stiffeners) to ensure that the records arrive in good condition. Please do read the "and finally Cyril" section at the bottom before bidding!

So to specifics:

Artist or Band: THE BEATLES

Album Title: Revolver

Purchase Details: Bought in 1966 (on or shortly after day of issue)

Cat Number: PCS 7009

Mono or Stereo: Stereo

Track Listing:
Side 1: Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, I'm only sleeping, Love to you, Here, there and everywhere, Yellow Submarine, She said, she said
Side 2: Good day sunshine, And your bird can sing, For no one, Dr Robert, I want to tell you, Got to get you into my life, Tomorrow never knows

Labels: Parlophone – Yellow and black format. Has "The Gramophone Co Ltd", "P 1965" and attribution includes Northern Songs, NCB. Side 2 has a K and a T (tax code?) embossed near the spindle. Both labels in very good condition with very slight spindle marks on both sides and almost no hole scuffing.

Matrix Nos: YEX 605-1 and YEX 606-1

Other stamped marks: Side 1: 1 at 9-o-clock and RL at 3-o-clock.  Side 2: 3 at 8-o-clock and RT at 2-o-clock.

Cover Information: Single format, laminated on the front. Has stereo on the top right front and use New Emitex record cleaner advert on the back. Printer's credit says "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending". Dated P 1966.  This album has been kept in a plastic outer cover hence its VGC sleeve.
Front & Lamination: Lamination is still in good condition. There are a few creases near the right edge (only visible from certain angles), a couple of small creases 1cm long at the top, a couple of similar ones (and one slightly longer one) at the bottom and a few on the spine - all are more or less inconspicuous. There are a couple of "dirty marks" but again fairly inconspicuous. Considering its age, I think this front looks very good!
Cover Back: The back has is fairly clean though it has picked up some dirt at the edge of the flaps folded over from the front. Otherwise the condition is really good for over 40 years old!
Top Edge: Unworn.
Bottom Edge: Unworn.
Right Edge: Very slight feathering wear only - no nicks or scratches.
Spine and Text: Very good - not crushed.
Corners: Slight scuff wear on all corners.
The Inner Sleeve: Original vintage tracing paper lined type with the ‘Emitex’ and ‘Important - take good care of your microgroove records’ text. Clean and untorn or split but has yellowed.

Vinyl Condition: Side 1 has a couple of really small non-sounding scratches and side 2 has a couple of marks (non-sounding).  I have played this record and the sound is good.

And finally, Cyril:

Please do check out the payment instructions.  Good eBayers pay (or at least contact) quickly and I expect payment (or contact) within 3 days of the end of the auction.  If you expect to be away or out of contact for longer, please e-mail me when bidding.  You will see from my feedback that I send off items really quickly and late payers are a pain as they cause me to have to make multiple trips to the Post Office.  A non-payer report will be filed if you have not made contact within 7 days and I may sell to another bidder.

Quick payers receive excellent feedback!  You get feedback on payment - I don't wait until you provide feedback on me like some sellers.  So please play fair and leave positive feedback for me as soon as the item arrives (ALWAYS contact me first if there is a problem, we CAN sort it out!).

Please e-mail me if you haven't received the item within 7 days UK or 14 days worldwide of a Paypal payment (if you are paying by another means I will e-mail you on receipt of payment so take that as the start date adding 7 days if you pay by cheque as this needs to clear first).

As for insurance, I can provide this on request (ignore where it says "insurance not offered" - eBay's system is not flexible enough to allow me to describe the options).  Up to £30 is covered automatically within UK by First Class and Recorded Delivery.  I can offer Next Day Special Delivery (UK only) providing £250 of cover for £5 (total) or for non-UK buyers International Signed For covers up to £500 for £5 EXTRA (on top of postage rates quoted).  Please note that I cannot be held responsible for post-related loss above £30 if you do not opt for the insurance cover.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO BIDDERS AND THE AUCTION WINNER

Unfortunately I shall be away for a few days around the time this auction ends.  Bad planning on my part!  Sorry for any problems this causes.

This means I will not be able to answer any questions received after Friday 27 May.

If you are the winner, then please note that I will not be able to reply to any e-mails until Thursday 2 June.  If you have paid by then (by Paypal), I will post the record on Friday 3 June.
