RARE STEREO PRESSING, IMPRESSIVE RECORD LABELS AND VINYL, WITH GREAT AUDIO.
Summary:
‘Rubber Soul’, released by EMI/Parlophone UK on 3 December 1965, was The Beatles Sixth Official UK Album, and the first Beatles album to include all four composers, and the last time that The Beatles released two albums of new material within one year. The title came from a title that black musicians had for The Rolling Stones , which Paul then parodied from the original ‘Plastic Soul’ to ‘Rubber Soul’.
This is a Rare STEREO version for The Beatles 1965 FIRST PRESSING UK Parlophone VINYL LP, ‘RUBBER SOUL’. Both sides of the Record Labels and Vinyl Disc are in IMPRESSIVE excellent plus condition – A NICE example!
Album Description/Condition:
The ORIGINAL UK First Issue HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, with ‘Sold in UK….’ , and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ label text, and printed ‘STEREO’ to both sides.
Both record labels are in SUPERB Excellent Plus condition, clean record labels, showing just a few faint spindle lines, the Silver printed text to both record labels is UNFADED, and the Yellow Parlophone Print and logo BOLD and VIVID.
Both sides of the Heavyweight vinyl disc are in SUPERB Excellent Plus condition. BRIGHT, UNWORN vinyl with no more than a couple of light surface hairlines, there are NO deep scratches or scuffs visible.
Side 1 matrix YEX 178-3 and Side 2: YEX 179-3.
Side 1 stampers: 1/GD and Side 2: 2/L.
There are no visible tax codes on the record labels.
Audio Quality:
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL through the tracks. There are NO skips or clicks, just some occasional background crackle, mainly on the quieter tracks, otherwise a very nice STEREO sound quality.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL white Made in Gt Britain Inner Bag which is in excellent condition, no seam splits, just some staining to both sides.
……And is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, Front LAMINATED STEREO ISSUE Garrod & Lofthouse three flip back sleeve, printed ‘stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
The Original Garrod and Lofthouse Front Laminated sleeve is in Excellent Minus condition. The sleeve is FIRM and CLEAN, and the laminate DEEP and GLOSSY, with only very mild record indentation to the front panel, and mild bruising to the corners, and light laminate pinches. the back panel of the sleeve shows age toning, and a couple of creases to the top flipback, and small handwriting next to the track listing, where someone has written duration times on four of the tracks.
Beatles 1960s Stereo PRESSINGS are becoming HARDER TO FIND in any respectable condition.
