THE BEATLES: ‘RUBBER SOUL’ – AN ORIGINAL 1965 UK BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE MONO VINYL LP – PMC 1267
BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE, DEEP RICH, GLOSSY SLEEVE.
First released on the 3rd December 1965 as a rush release in time for Christmas, this is a UK Parlophone MONO Vinyl LP for The Beatles ‘RUBBER SOUL’ album.
The 12” VINYL LP is on the traditional Black and Yellow Parlophone Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim, and ‘Sold in UK…’ label text.
Both record labels are in RESPECTABLE Excellent Plus condition, a BRIGHT, CLEAN set of record labels with just a few light centre spider trails, and some mild age spotting.
Official side 1 matrix is XEX 579-4 and Side 2: XEX 580-4.
Side 1 stampers: 6 GLP and Side 2: 6 GOH.
There are no embossed ‘KT’ tax/price codes visible on the record labels.
Both sides of the BRIGHT, GLOSSY vinyl disc are in Near Mint condition, really superb vinyl surfaces, with no more than one or two light surface hairlines, there are no scratches or scuffs.
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL through all the tracks with NO jumps just very mild background crackle can be heard, otherwise a great Mono sound quality.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Lined ‘Use Emitex…’ Printed Inner Bag which is in Excellent Plus condition, a very clean inner bag with no seam splits, and just some inevitable light creasing, but nothing serious.
And is housed in its ORIGINAL PATENTS PENDING first Issue Front LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse, three flip back, mono Sleeve.
The front of the Original Garrod and Lofthouse Laminated Sleeve is in superb Near Mint condition, what is noticeable about the front panel of the sleeve is that the laminate is very glossy and the colours are still rich,deep and vivid, there is only very mild record indentation that is hardly noticeable .
The reverse panel of the sleeve is in Excellent Plus condition, the reverse is clean and white, with no handwriting, all that is visible is some age spotting the the flip backs, and around the track listing, the spine edge wording is legible, there is no splitting to any of the edges – overall this is a very clean example * MONO* sleeve.
