Description
Very rare UK issue from early 1963. This is indicated by the label devoid of the “Made in UK” text and the MT tax stamping on the center hub. As you’re likely aware, Parlophone began using the MT stamp on Jan 1, 1963.
The deadwax indeed has the PT tax stamping indicative of the tax code at the time Please Please Me was mastered in late-1962.
Deadwax stamped matrix and master numbers are as follows: 7XCE 17217-1N / 7XCE 17218-1N.
This record was also pressed by incredibly early stampers! Side A has stamper code A, indicative of the 3rd stamper!! Side B has stamper code P, indicative of the 6th stamper. Incredibly early!!!!
Amazingly, the vinyl is in strong EX condition.
The original Parlophone sleeve is in EX- condition.
