Description
Beatles Please Please Me Mono Gold Label in Superb Condition
Unexpectedly relisted. Sadly the buyer was looking for a mint perfect as-new archive copy and although I had described the disc as having a few very slight surface marks and the buyer did agree that these were most likely as a result of the sleeve acting against the disc when it was removed and replaced, he did not want to retain the LP, so I have given him a full refund as I offer to all buyers (first time I've been taken up on the offer). So, it is now relisted. As a means of value reference - an archive copy recently sold with Omega auctions for £4,000 plus commission.
This is a first press Dick James credited mono Gold Label. It has the original correct sleeve with the Angus McBean credit to the right. I have taken numerous photographs so that you can see just what great condition this is in. The disc has a few very, very light surface marks and absolutely nothing more than that. I have been collecting Beatles for 26 years so when I say this is in superb condition then you can rest assured that it is. I am selling this as I have several copies all in similar top condition. I am raising funds to buy some more rarities to add to my collection!
Stampers are 1L and 1O
The sleeve has some minor wear to the edges and a crease above the photo credit which has a mark on it.
I will ship only to countries in which the postal service provides tracking to the door and a signed for service.

The record arrived back today from Australia. I've looked at it under a high output powerful lamp and you can see micro fine surface marks. These do not show when viewing outside in daylight and not when viewed away from the lamp.

This is not an archive mint perfect copy. It has a few marks and when viewed under strong light you can see micro fine scratches from the record acting on the sleeve. My reference to archive copies was to show how the previous selling price of this item was appropriate relative to the price of mint perfect as-new unblemished, straight from the factory copy.
