THE BEATLES PLEASE PLEASE ME - VINYL LP GOLD AND BLACK "CROSSOVER" LABELS Artist The Beatles Format 12” Vinyl LP Title Please Please Me Label/Cat. No. Parlophone PMC1202 (Mono) First/Second Pressing Year 1963 Condition Both sides of the vinyl are better than VERY GOOD+ condition The record has obviously been played, but it has been well cared for. There is a light scratch through the track "I saw her standing there" track 1, side 1. Both sides play all the way through with no jumps or skips whatsoever. As you can see from the photos, both of the gold and black labels are incredibly clean, with no writing, stickers, or other marks. The side 1 label has minimal spindle marks and the side 2 label has none. There is an Emmitex inner sleeve. It is in VG condition. Just showing slight creasing. The outer triple flipback "Ernest J Day & Co" sleeve is in very good condition, especially considering its age. It has Angus McBean's photography credit in the right place for gold and black label pressings (below the second letter "s" in the word "Songs"). It is a good solid sleeve. This record has been given a "first pressing" label on side 1, and a "second pressing" label
on side 2. As you can clearly see in the pictures, the side 1 label shows the publisher of "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Misery" as being "Dick James Mus. Co.", while the side 2 label shows the publisher of "Do You Want To Know A Secret" and "There's A Place" as being "Northern Songs Ltd." Accordingly, this is an exceptionally rare piece of vinyl. There have been very few of these available on eBay over the years, and you may have a long wait to see another one, let alone one in such condition.
