1964 UK 5th **STEREO** PRESSING LP
***MID-SIZED COVER LOGO***
This fine & rare 1964 '5th' STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..', 'Recording First Published..' texts & 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 1 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse', mid-sized stereo logo cover.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex' lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper numbers: 1/RM & 1/RD

Both surfaces are MINT viewed in natural light and bear just a few wispy paper hairlines when viewed directly under a halogen desk lamp.
Otherwise this is a pristine disc with no other marks or any scratches to either side.
Quality, thick, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
Barely played, this is a wonderful warm & clear sounding disc with no trace of crackle or groovewear distortion in either channel or on any track.
Even the easily damaged inner tracks; 'Please, Please Me' & 'Twist & Shout', play cleanly without any break-up or distortion.
Both run-ins & all bands play silently & there are absolutely no clicks, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Very strong & clean example retaining a perfect high-gloss, unscratched laminate bearing some wrinkles & light creasing but no major wear.
Slight bruising to three corners, but both opening edges are pristine, sharp & unworn with no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is pristine clean & white with no discoloration, marks, writing or missing paper.
Both seams & the spine are in perfect, undamaged condition with no stress or splits.
Strict visual grading in daylight and directly under a halogen desk lamp.
All discs are carefully play graded in their entirety on a Rega P9 deck with an Ortofon Kontrapunkt 'A' cartridge.
