Description

Issued in 1984 to promote the introduction of Capitol's ill-fated commercial line of computer software. Box is 12.75" x 12.5" x 3-1.2" silver with black print and features the print "Compliments of Capitol Records Inc.". This very rare, 16-stereo stereo LP set was originally issued only as a gift when Capitol Records introduced its commercial line of computer software in 1984. Each and every one of the 16 albums is in MINT CONDITION-never opened. The set box has, of course, been opened to reveal the perfect albums.
This exclusive set was manufactured in very small numbers and was only given to Capitol executives and close friends of the company to celebrate of the launch of Capitol’s Data Systems Division. It rarely appears on the collectors market and is a collector’s must have! The stereophonic LPs are U.S. issues, and most likely the purple label or 1980s black label.
Very difficult to find this Platinum Series set anywhere to buy and almost impossible in like new condition. The slip box has some slight wear but the records in this set are brand new and factory sealed - never opened and always stored upright. This set has been stored in a climate controlled smoke-, sunlight-, animal-, and moisture-free environment for 30 years.
