Description

The time has come for me to part with my 50 year old Beatles collection. This collection consists of LP's, 45's, picture sleeves, EP's, 12" singles, picture discs, sealed LP's, test pressings, acetates, promos, box sets, and CD's from the US and the UK. The collection also includes vinyl and CD's from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and Apple artists. There are numerous rarities in this collection. The vast majority of the vinyl is in NM- to NM condition; I tried not to acquire anything with a grade below that, or attempted to upgrade, although a few of the extremely hard to find items I was unable to upgrade and will have a grade below that. Paul McCartney & Wings-"Back To The Egg" box set, Parlophone PCTC 257, released in 1979. This is a UK limited edition promotional item; only 500 of these were made. In addition, this set is complete, even including the T-shirt, which wasn't included in many copies. Firstly, let me say that the box has sustained damage at some point in time. Two corners and two seams have been repaired with black electrical tape, and the front has some creases. Contents are NM-/NM unless otherwise noted:

1)the LP, Parlophone PCTC 257. Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in NM condition. Cover is in NM- condition with a rub mark at the top middle seam. This is a first pressing LP (all authentic sets contain a first pressing) with -2/-1 matrix numbers.

2)the T-shirt. size XL, 100% cotton, never worn

3)egg shaped pin

4)egg shaped keychain

5)egg shaped sticker

6)postcard

7)"Back To The Egg" folder 

8)five cigarette cards. Denny Laine's and Paul's have indentations, probably from being in contact with the pin. Paul's has a tear visible on the front as part of the dent but it didn't go all the way through the card

As a bonus to somewhat make up for the condition of the box I'm also including a sealed CD of the LP, with bonus tracks; the jewel box has some cracks on the front and back, and a first day issue "Back To The Egg" tote bag with no issues except for it's been folded. It has no splits or tears. This was only issued with copies sold on the very first day of release and is rare in itself.

That's it. This is an extremely rare set and a must for the serious Paul/Beatles collection.
