Description

Paul McCartney-"Ram" LP, Apple SMAS-3375. This is a 1971 pressing with the Capitol logo in the perimeter print on the side two LP label, making this the second rarest of the numerous pressings of this LP (first rarest has "All Rights Reserved" on LP labels). Vinyl, VISUALLY graded by Goldmine standards, is in NM- condition, with a few extremely light scuffs/marks; both sides still gleam. Cover is in VG condition, with light general age/ring wear, and the bottom LP pocket has a 5" seam split. In addition, what makes this LP rarer still, is the sticker on the cover. This is only the second one I've seen in 40 years of collecting Beatles records. Paul must have driven the Capitol executives crazy after the Beatles split. His first few solo LP's didn't have his name on the cover. The public wasn't used yet to buying solo Beatle LP's, so Capitol put this sticker on to let people know it was a new McCartney LP. Due to the fact that so few have turned up, these must have been put on just the very first copies released, then stopped for some reason. What makes this rare sticker even rarer still is the first song is misprinted. It reads "TO Many People" when the correct title is "TOO Many People". The sticker is in great shape, with light age wear and one very tiny piece of bottom right corner torn (see pic). So, to summerize, you have a classic McCartney LP, in it's second rarest pressing, with an already rare sticker, with an even rarer printing. A must have for the serious McCartney/Beatles collection.
