Summary:
On the MAGNIFICENT Black and Gold Parlophone Label this is the Rare STEREO version of The Beatles FIRST UK Album, considered the most collectible UK Beatles album of all time. With only 900 reported to have been pressed, one can only imagine how many are actually in existence today, certainly VERY FEW in this AMAZINGLY, WELL CARED FOR condition, and if that’s not enough, adding to the DESIRABILITY, the SOUND QUALITY of this album is nothing short of SUPERB. Please Please Me was the band’s DEBUT UK album. There was obviously much interest from the increasing fan base to listen The Beatles first album. Most were passed around at parties, thoroughly enjoyed, and therefore many became badly damaged – but NOT THIS ONE - and we can honestly say that this is one of the most SENSATIONAL examples to have come on the open market in recent years.
Detailed Album Description:

Audio Quality:
The album has been carefully played through ALL the tracks, and the Sound Quality is nothing less than SUPERB. It plays SILENTLY even BETWEEN the TRACKS, with NO crackling whatsoever, confirming that the album has been BARELY PLAYED over the past 46 years. There are NO skips, NO clicking, and NO popping – a simply MAGNIFICENT early STEREO Sound Quality.
Condition:
Both sides of the SIGNIFICANT Black and Gold Parlophone record labels are in STUNNING near mint condition. It is hard to detect any spider trails to the centre of both record labels and unbelievably, there is none of the usual ‘white’ areas of wear around the centre spindle holes.
Both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl Disc are in FINE excellent plus condition. Rarely seen in this condition, both Vinyl surfaces are RADIANT and GLOSSY, showing no more than a few light surface ‘lines’, none of which affect the SUPERIOR play quality in any way. There is NO scuffing or deep scratches to either side of the disc.
The Original ‘Use Emitex…’ Polythene Lined Inner Bag is near mint. Rarely seen in this SUPERB condition, there are NO seam splits, NO tearing and NO handwriting to the inner bag. A LOVELY CLEAN, UNDAMAGED example.
This is one of the FINEST Original Ernest J Day Please Please Me Laminated STEREO sleeves that you will see. Most suffer from a lot of wear and tear, however, this one has survived in REMARKABLE condition all these years. The Front panel is very FLAT and FIRM and still retains its DEEP GLOSS and VIVID COLOURS. There is NO visible record indentation. The opening edge has minimal wear and is EXTREMELY FLAT. The top and bottom edges of the sleeve are UNDAMAGED. The Spine Edge too is UNDAMAGED and the printed wording ‘Please Please Me – The Beatles’ is clearly legible. There are small corner bumps to the bottom two corners. Half way along the bottom of the sleeve there is a just a small ‘rub’ mark - visible in one of the scans provided. The Reverse Panel of the sleeve is REMARKABLY CLEAN, WHITE and FIRM, with aboslutely NO yellowing or age spots. The top and the spine edge flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The bottom flipback shows some light wear – nothing serious.
This AMAZINGLY PRESERVED example could not disappoint any Serious Collector. RARELY offered in this all round SUPERIOR condition, without doubt, the most COLLECTIBLE and SOUGHT AFTER UK Beatles album in existence today, and the finest example that we had the privilege to offer in a long time.
