Beatles Original "Yesterday and Today" Butcher Cover LP Great Display Copy

$

240

This is a wonderful example for display of the Beatles butcher cover partially removed; the contrast between the paste-over and "butcher" cover are why I purchased this album.  The record plays without skipping but is NOT the reason to purchase this copy.  This is one of my favorite examples for demonstration/display... and truly valuable for collection's sake. I have since purchased other copy for listening purposes and am letting this one go to any serious and loving record collector who can appreciate what this is.  I purchased this album from an honest and kind collector on e-bay last year.  This album is 50+ years old!
Please read below accurate descriptions of this album, with descriptions given for each photograph: photo 1:  Cover shows both layers of Beatles covers + paste over; texture and quality of paper is quite good.  This is why I purchased this album. photo 2: Back cover shows ringwear and other storage wear; worn/edgewear is evident photo 3: Original inner sleeve is in very good condition photo 4: Original inner sleeve (side 2) is in very good condition photo 5: Shows seam split accross entire length of spine; some trace labeling is present photo 6:  Shows partial bottom seam split and edge wear of cover opening photo 7: Alternate view of spine seam split photo 8: Side A label (mono) photo 9: Side B label (mono)  photo 10: Side A photograph in order to show general condition of the album.  photo 11: Side B photograph in order to show general condition of the album.
Album comes with Mobile Fidelity inner sleeve as a matter of protection; also includes original sleeve..
Yes, I have played this album one time.  It play grades as Good to Good Plus (G+) in some passages.  There is significant surface noise while playing but there were no skips using high quality equipent; visually grade this as Good or Good minus (G-).  I am not a fan of visually graded albums.
Because I have provided many photographs with accurate descriptions I will let you make any conclusions you desire about the Jacket and record from your visual point of view.  If I did not show a photograph listing a defect, then I am unaware of any other defects.  Please note that I do care that this is honest and accurate.  This album is playable, but I view this to be for collection's sake... since it is valuable and historically important... and in my opinion FUN!  That is why I first purchased this copy.
Good Plus: G+/Good/G-  WIll play without skipping and have significant surface noise, visible scratches, and/or groove wear.  Jacket will have seam splits at the bottom or spine.  Tape, glue, writing, ring wear or other defects.
