Up for auction is the Beatles Open End Interview-Promotional EP, these open end interviews were to promote the album Meet The Beatles with two songs from the album, It Won't Be Long and This Boy. These records were given to radio stations advance disc jockey copies Not For Sale- there is a script on the back of the record sleeve with questions that the disc jockey would ask as if The Beatles were in the radio station the answers are prerecorded from The Beatles on the record. The way this record is recorded would make you think the Beatles are in the radio station answering all the questions asked by the disc jockey, and very funny. The overall condition of the sleeve and record is Excellent, there are no splits on the seams or writing on the sleeve. There are no scratches or scuffs on the vinyl still has its high gloss plays very good superior sound quality. These records are highly collectable and would be a nice addition for any serious Beatles collector.
On Sep-18-09 at 19:55:55 PDT, seller added the following information:I want to answer a question in regards to this Open End Interview, this is a promotional record it is a reproduction promotional released in the 70's not to be confused with the original Open End Interviews originally released in the early 60's. If this was a 1960's release the startng bid would be alot higher as this one listed. These reproduction Open End Interviews are still highly sought after by collectors because they don't carry the huge price tag as the 1960's issues and still have the same recorded material as the originals and are still collected by serous Beatles collectors.
